Anxiety Release for 2012
Well this is 2012 and we're still here. Are you grateful for that? Or are you anxious about all the predictions of 2012? Nothing has changed according to the media, except that the reports of all the gloom and doom in the economic and social landscapes of the world is worsening. Yet if anyone of you have found something changed within you that have made you see things differently, perhaps an expectation, or a hope that things might be changing for the better, then anxiety has not taken root. Congrats.
The fact is that in the latest statistics, anxiety disorders are on the rise. 1 in 4 people have anxiety disorder. Phobias, addictions, pain, certain medications and previous traumas also contribute to anxiety disorder. So many people would deny that they are anxious and yet resort to addictions for relief. And I don't mean drugs and alcohol and smoking. How many of you feel that you need sweets to relax you? How many find comfort foods (extremely high sodium or sugar and high caloric foods) for relaxation? How many go on shopping sprees to calm themselves or gamble? How many use sex for anxiety relief?
Don't you think any of the above have side-effects? All the above addictions have temporary relief but lasting side-effects. I know as I've worked with many as an anxiety transformation coach. Many who come to me, have used conventional treatments with short-term success without getting control of their anxiety on a permanent basis.
What if I told you there was a better way? A way that has proven to be a long lasting treatment for anxiety? It has worked on many people and it will probably work for you. It is simple yet powerful. It will take some effort on your part to continue the treatment for a few sessions and do the homework given. The emphasis is finishing the course of the treatment, even though after a couple of sessions, you might not feel anxious anymore, that is only the surface as further treatments will discover the root causes and once that is removed, the anxiety will be gone for good which means, disturbing news in the media or from external sources will not raise your anxiety levels. That does not mean you will be numb to the "bad" news. It means that your anxiety thermometer will not fluctuate and you are able to be calm within.

Toxins and the DNA
I attended a teleclass recently on Toxins by Joanne Callaghan, wife of Dr. Roger Callaghan, founder of TFT, ie Thought Field Therapy out of which EFT is based on.and he is a clinical psychologist. It was a class that showed some ways to remove toxins in our body as well as other ways of neutralizing the external toxins which is in our environment. This actually ties in with our previous article on the recent research discovery of some of the function of the ninety percent of our DNA.
Through vibrations and carefully worded thoughts, we could release toxins in our body, especially at the DNA level. How, you ask? Well, I will be giving a workshop - Removing Toxins 101 on the 8th of October and a repeat on the 22nd October. There will only be room for 10 people per workshop as it is an interactive one.
Besides Energy Psychology, I have combined Energy Medicine, Qigong and two other modalities that works well in removing toxins with my clients. On a personal note, these modalities have helped me remove some toxins that have previously caused me a few chronic illnesses.

Surprise, Surprise - What the DNA respond to?
As clients were coming to me, these last few weeks, there was a look of pleasant surprise, when their fear, pain or anxiety or anger were removed before their unbelieving eyes, while I did the spinal flush or the neurolymphatic massage on them in about 20 minutes or more. When I tried to explain, there was still a look of doubt.
So, I told them about a recent research finding by a couple of Russian scientists on the DNA, not the 10% that western medicine is focused on but the 90% that was thought to be "junk". Well after a few years of thorough research, some of the 90% of human DNA seem to respond to vibrations and words, either negatively or positively. So how does what I do connect to this latest DNA discovery?
When I do the neurolymphatic massage, I focus on certain areas of the body and the massage I do cause a vibration. I also say certain words and have the clients tune in on certain emotions that they are feeling. Words and Vibrations somehow affect the 90% of the DNA and we have results in a very short time. The same results with the tapping of Energy Psychology as in EFT and TFT is again due to the DNA or genes response to vibration and words.
My challenge is to keep my client focus on the emotions that are causing them the discomfort or problem. DNA or genes do not have to be removed or cauterized for the healing effects to happen. I predict in the next few years, more and more research will reveal further the capabilities of the "junk" DNA.

Epigenetics versus Genetic Modification
The question I posed at the end of the last post was answered by some members of Blog Catalog, a social online network. It appears that many of my readers are not familiar with Epigenetics and some are confusing Epigenetics with genetics or genetic modification. So this article is to clarify the difference between Epigenetics and Genetics. Let's see what one of the experts say, shall we?
"The difference between Genetics and Epigenetics is compared to the difference between writing and reading a book. Once a book is written, the text (DNA, genes) is stored and the information will be the same in all copies. However, each individual reader (epigenetics) of the given book may interpret the book differently." Thomas Jenvwein, Austria
Genetic Modification uses biotechnology to change the genes of an organism such as a plant or animal.
Genetic Modified Organism is a plant or animal that has been changed using genetic modification and not through traditional breeding techniques.CSIRO

Epigenetics Anyone?

What's that? Is that what I hear many of you asking? Why is she not discussing more Eden Energy Medicine or Energy Psychology,EFT or something we're more familiar with? Well, if you give me a chance to explain... Thanks. Epigenetics is related in many ways to all my other topics on this site.
Ah so many questions and I'll try to answer them, perhaps not all in this post? Before we begin, let me tell you about my absence. It is quite exciting.
As you've noticed it has also been a month since my last post. There are several reasons for that! I have been working on a WordPress website and the launch will be in a couple of weeks or so and it will be more of a site for parents and teachers of children and youth although it will be open to anyone, interested in our future generation! So stay tuned!
Now to Epigenetics.which is a relatively new science, that you might not even find the meaning in your lexicon. My spellchecker does not even recognize it. The following definition is from the journal Science
" the studies of heritable changes in gene function that occur without the change in the DNA sequence."
Epigenetics study the signals that turn genes on and off and it also investigates sources that control gene expression from outside the DNA, like the environment. Sorry, did I get too scientific on you? Perhaps this next statement will make it easier to understand.
"The activation of genes is intimately connected with healing and immune system function."

Since EEM, EP and EFT work on healthy immune system and promoting resolution to physical, psychological and emotional issues, Epigenetic research will contribute to the explanation of those modalities to the still skeptical scientific community. Parents, What do you Fear for Your children???
Today, we'll show the benefits of the Empower-Student Program. These are benefits not only to the students but also to the parents? Parents are sometimes overwhelmed with trying to provide a safe, happy and healthy environment for their children amidst all entrapment in the real and virtual world facing their children. Definitely, parenting is a challenge today! So what are the fears facing parents? Are there coping tools that will help their children? Tools that will give parents some peace of mind?
A recent Canadian survey showed that the following are the fears facing the parents of teens ?
1. Their children's lack of confidence to perform well in school.
2. Their children will be bullied.
3. Their children are depressed.
4. Their children's test anxiety.
Parents are looking for tools or solutions and the Empower-Student Program is just one such solution? It comprises of a number of tools, which has also helped teachers in their classrooms. This brief article will not go into the techniques (which uses Energy Psychology): instead it will give the proven benefits. There are many benefits and three of them will be listed for now

Empower Youth Now
I was a student teacher then, yet I noticed that even the senior teachers were stressed out teaching this temporary class of mine. The students did not show violence toward the teacher, then, but there was peer bullying, poor grades, etc.
Fast Forward to 2010 and I was in San Diego in an Intensive 5 day workshop where participants comprised of teachers, pediatricians, coaches, nurses and other disciplines. One of the early morning breakout session was conducted by a recently retired teacher, who used certain techniques to her class of below average students with behaviour problems. Parents wanted to know how to do it with their children.A few months after daily use, the students grades showed improvement and parents' relationship with their children changed for the better. The principal implemented these techniques to other classes in the school and the SAT scores at the end of the year improved tremendously. A year later, that school was one of the top performing schools in San Diego.
Presently, Ritalin appears to be the drug of choice for many students with labels of hyperactivity, ADD, etc but how many of the teachers or parents realize the side-effects of Ritalin??? This link shows the latest research. www.asktheneurologist.com/ritalin-side-effects.html
So what do we do? Well, teachers and parents, there is hope. I have used some of RET to help
youth who are hyperactive, with ADD and other issues. It has been effective. Just like adults are negatively affected by anxiety, fear, anger, stress and panic, so are the children of all ages. The symptoms children show are slightly different from adults. Now with the right tools, solutions, it is a joy to work with children again. and they are happy, too when they find out how to use these tools to be calm, in control and get wonderful results. Recently this is what a client in grade 3 commented of the session. " It is fun to work with PC." (3rd grader)

Two easy ways to go from Chaos to Calm!
Have the earthquakes, tsunamis, political unrest in the world made you anxious, fearful and worried? Imagine what the people who are in the midst of those natural disasters or the man-made violence are feeling?
Are you feeling helpless about those situations? Are you addicted to the grim news on the radio or television? Are you thinking that there is nothing you could do to help? Are you trying to put the blame of this disasters on ......? Whoa... Whoa..... Stop! Inhale Deeply, and count to three, then exhale. You have the Power to help!
Yes you, and not just by donating cash, which I'm sure some of you have already done. Here are two other tools that you could use to help those in the midst of the earthquakes, tsunami in Japan, and bloody unrest in the Libya, Haiti and other war zones. The tools mentioned below have empowered others! Why not you???
The first one is relatively simple, relieve the anxiety,worry and fear from yourself ; then once you're are calm, that calmness could reach those people at a distance. Then you do three affirmation rounds, on spreading the Love, Light and Peace to others who are in the midst of natural and man-made disasters. The words of the Affirmation rounds will be in the conclusion of this post.
Please try it, after looking at the tapping point video, the first one on the right top of this page. It is on
the side bar, you have a video on tapping and Jessica had done a tapping of about 10 minutes to help the people of Japan and other disaster areas.
The second way to help is to meditate and pray and I know for some of you, meditation or prayers have been quite a challenge. Meditation requires more skill than a simple spontaneous prayer from your heart. If anyone wants more information on how to meditate simply, then write to me.
Now have you looked at the tapping spots. While you're tapping these spots, with each of the following phrases, move from the eyebrow point, tapping while you say.
1.Love before me 2. Peace before me
Love behind me Peace behind me
Love on my left Peace on my left
Love on my right Peace on my right
Love above me Peace above above me
Love below me Peace below me
Love on to me Peace on to me
Love in my surroundings Peace in my surroundings

Revitalizing Energy Therapies -Synopsis Part II
Energy Psychology, Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT ) and Laughter Therapy
EFT or emotional freedom technique developed by Gary Craig uses a tapping technique on specific acupuncture points while stating specific statements to a related issue, emotion or condition. This technique involves stating the emotion you feel at a certain event, no matter how negative and then working through it. It uses Subjective Unit of Distress (SUD) to gage the progress. I use the Homo-lateral and Cross-Crawl of EEM as a preparatory technique because they enhance the effects of EFT
Laughter Therapy should really be part of Energy Psychology as it works on the emotions and puts one in a positive state for healing to take place. As the founder of Laughter Yoga, Dr. Madan Kateria stated it produces the laughter cocktail which means it releases endorphins (body’s natural pain killers), hormones and neuropeptides and increases levels of immunoglobin A1gA which provides immunity.
Forgiveness Therapy
The Self-Forgiveness Process is vital before you can forgive anyone else. Using the work and research done by Dr. Guy Pettitt MD as well as techniques from EEM such as “expelling the venom” and “sending forgiveness through the body”, clients are able to forgive themselves and others in a shorter time than they can do on their own. Why is it vital to forgive? 1. It is a basic need and will make you happy2. Improves your will-power 3. Makes you stronger to confront injustices. 4. Improves your atmosphere 5. It is telepathic 6. It Empowers-You

Gratitude Therapy
This therapy goes in conjunction with previously mentioned therapies.
Gratitude goes a long way in cementing healing that has already taken place. Included in all the Revitalizing Energy Therapies, there is a small but significant portion devoted to gratitude. This is usually done while tapping and it could also be done in affirmations and mini-meditations.
So there you have it, Revitalizing Energy therapies in a nutshell. No matter how detail an explanation, it is really in experiencing it that you will realize their effects in your life. No amount of words can do justice to any of the therapies that are found in Revitalizing Energy Therapies or RET but since I had so many requests, I obliged. However, asking more questions is always welcomed and that is why I give some mini courses and workshops that is posted on my website. I will always consider myself a student of all these therapies as I'm always learning something new in the application of all these Revitalizing Energy Therapies and sometimes from my clients in their practical application of RET.

This therapy goes in conjunction with previously mentioned therapies.
Gratitude goes a long way in cementing healing that has already taken place. Included in all the Revitalizing Energy Therapies, there is a small but significant portion devoted to gratitude. This is usually done while tapping and it could also be done in affirmations and mini-meditations.
So there you have it, Revitalizing Energy therapies in a nutshell. No matter how detail an explanation, it is really in experiencing it that you will realize their effects in your life. No amount of words can do justice to any of the therapies that are found in Revitalizing Energy Therapies or RET but since I had so many requests, I obliged. However, asking more questions is always welcomed and that is why I give some mini courses and workshops that is posted on my website. I will always consider myself a student of all these therapies as I'm always learning something new in the application of all these Revitalizing Energy Therapies and sometimes from my clients in their practical application of RET.

Revitalizing Energy Therapies -Synopsis Part I
Revitalizing Energy Therapies (RET)
The following Therapies are included in RET -
Eden Energy Medicine (EEM), Energy Psychology, includes Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), and Laughter Therapy, Medical Qigong, Positive Psychology which includes Gratitude and Forgiveness therapy. Group therapy classes like Boosting Your Energy in 5 minutes are others given bi-weekly and monthly and upon request. Former and present clients are encouraged to continue their healing practices by attending these classes.
Eden Energy Medicine

Wishing You a Breathtaking and Breathgiving New Year
I left you last year with the back of the empower-you postcard mentioning RET or Revitalizing Energy Therapies. I said that in the New Year I will explain a little further of what RET comprises of.
Well, RET is breathtaking and breath-giving. It involves the main ingredients of Energy Therapies that I've found harmonized and blended with each other.
There are definitely more energy therapies than what I've used but these are what I found work well either individually or in combination.They are Eden Energy Medicine, Energy Psychology & EFT, Qigong, Laughter Therapy, Forgiveness Therapy and Gratitude Therapy. The main common element that runs through all these is the Breath Work which is the literal translation of Qigong. RET is breathtaking in another sense which is - results are achieved at such a relatively short time and the thoroughness of the results are also breathtaking.
In the next few posts, I will try to explain the individual therapies, but unless you experience the effect, you might not appreciate it. That is why, in the third week of January, there will be a 2 hour class akin to a study group dealing with the basic aspects of Energy Medicine which will also include some elements of Energy Psychology, Qigong , laughter and forgiveness therapy. So as not to overwhelm the participants, it will be given over the course of 3 months, 2 hours each month and practice, practice,practice between each monthly classes. There is a limit of 25 persons per class. Some of my former clients will be there, as now they are free from their "problems" and want to learn more.

Empower-You Postcard-Back
This the back of my post-card. In my next post, I will explain further about RET, an acronym that I coined to simplify the modalities or tools I work with as my therapy combines one or two of EEM. EFT Laughter therapy, forgiveness therapy or Qigong. It will be in my first post of January 2011.

Tap, tap, tap to forgive
Having trouble forgiving someone? Having issues about forgiving your self? Perhaps you even thought you forgave certain persons but they repeat the same actions and the forgiveness issue comes up yet again! Does that sound familiar? Well here is a solution, some have used for effective results. EFT !
Basically, you say some specific phrases and tap. You have to tune in to what the person did to upset you or if you have problems with the forgiving itself, you could tap on it. Here are a few examples. Remember to use the capitalize words in all the situations.
1. EVEN THOUGH I have a hard time forgiving wrongs done to me by (name), I PROFOUNDLY LOVE, ACCEPT AND RESPECT MYSELF ANYWAY.
2. EVEN THOUGH I was extremely devastated at (name)'s betrayal and not willing to forgive (name), I PROFOUNDLY LOVE, ACCEPT AND RESPECT MYSELF ANYWAY.
3. EVEN THOUGH I am ashamed of my action, which does not deserve forgiveness, I PROFOUNDLY, LOVE, ACCEPT AND RESPECT AND FORGIVE MYSELF ANYWAY.
As you say aloud any one of these SET-UP PHRASES; you are tapping on the karate chop point. Then as you move toward the inner eyebrows, side of the eye, under the eye, below the nose, below the lower lips, below the clavicle, under the armpit, tapping lightly with 2 fingers on all these points, just use a short phrase or word, example "hard time forgiving", or "not willing to forgive".
Repeat the above sequence three or four times, then stop and take three deep breaths, breathe in through the nose (with mouth shut) and breathe out through the mouth. Then evaluate, and repeat several times each day.
When you don't feel the negative emotion of unforgiving when thinking of that person or situation, that's when you cease the tapping.
Here is a video from Brad Yates, an EFT expert. His tapping on Forgiveness is more wordy than what I have given above but I think when you're a beginner, it is always better to keep it simple. As you master the technique and the set-up phrase, then you too, can add more words into it.
Next post will focus on Eden Energy Medicine and it, too has a forgiveness exercise. I've just returned from an exhilarating training and I'm excited about sharing some snippets of the wonderful training from Donna Eden herself. Till then, I'm sending you waves of healing energy.

Curious about the Middle Phase of Forgiveness Process?
The first phase ended with invoking the Higher Self. The majority of my readers appeared unaware of their Higher Self, so how could I proceed to the Middle Phase? Also except for a couple, no one wanted to know more. If you're not aware of your Higher Self or become acquainted with it, then how are you to accomplish the following steps in Phase 2
In case there are some out there, readers who do not comment, who are acquainted with their Higher Self, then the following steps are just guidelines.
Step 7 - Take the Place of the Higher Self. (in the first phase, you were seated, now you stand as you take the place of the Higher Self and see what situation, characteristic, etc that the Lower Self needs forgiveness for.
Step 8 - As the Higher Self, compassionately cancel whatever needs forgiveness and upgrade.
Step 9- Higher Self heals the "person you were at the time or situation"
Step 10 - Teaching from within
Step 11 - Your Higher Self returns responsibility back to you, the personal but now upgraded self.
I am not going into details of the Steps, as I think the details would be different for each person. That is why, I think people doing the forgiveness process should have a coach, as you have to be totally objective when doing this process, otherwise you will be just going around in circles, with the help of your sub-personalities. I have included a PayPal button for coaching services for 1/2 hour at a discounted rate. This discount will only apply till end of December 2010.

Sixth Step - What to ask?
The Sixth Step marks the end of the First Phase of the Forgiveness Process. During all the Steps in this Phase, you should have been seated. The sixth step is making a request to the Higher Self - use your own words but remember to include the words 'will' ' heal' and 'forgive'.
Here is an example. " I now will to heal the discomfort caused by my ? ( some examples - "being resentful of another's success", " blaming another for my problem", "self-critical","procrastinating", "begrudging","shame of my physical or mental attributes") and I chose to be free again and I ask my Higher Self to forgive and heal all this...".
Do one value or problem at a time to be specific. You are invoking the help of the Higher Self to do this forgiving. This is not instant, that is why it is called a Process.
So the next Phase is the Middle Phase and Step Seven is when you stand or go to a higher ground as you will take the place of your Higher Self. As I mentioned in the earlier posts, you should have a coach or guide, it is even vital now in the Middle Phase to have a coach or guide. I also will not give you directions for the rest, as I noticed from some of the comments(unpublished) that readers are either still lingering in the myths of forgiveness or stating that God will take care of it for them. I've spoken to some church officials who state that forgiveness is quite a problem among the church folks. Remember the saying, God helps those who help themselves. I think the Forgiveness Process is one way to help yourselves. And talking about process, what do you think JC meant with this answer when Peter asked if he should forgive 7 times, "Not 7 times but 77 times."
I think I will be doing a disservice to try to coach generally on forgiveness as the next phase requires it. So I will leave that your choice to find a coach to continue with the Forgiveness Process. Also if you find emotional freedom technique coaches or meridian tapping coaches, they will be able to help you in this area.
This blog will shortly be going into paid subscription mode. If any of you want to be coached further on Forgiveness, please leave a private comment and an e-mail contact. I'm working on conducting one or two day Forgiveness Workshops which will cover material in a day which would take a couple of months to cover online. Are you the Inner Critic? the Saboteur? or
Are you the Inner Victim? the Helpless and Confused?
To understand Step 4, you have to learn about the 3 distinct energy fields or configurations that constitute You, Me and Everyone Else. The first is the Lower Self - your physical, mental and emotional. From the Lower Self comes the sub-personalities that I've mentioned at the introduction, these are unfortunately the dominant ones, although there are others that are perhaps more supportive but passively, waiting for you to develop them. The Lower Self is compared by Dr. Pettitt as the actors in a play.
The second is the Personal Self and the third is one that I believe brought you to these posts, the Higher Self or the Soul which has a significant link with the Source, Creator or Divinity. We will return to the Higher Self in the next post.
Everyone is aware of and attuned to the Lower Self, as it is where Basic Needs are Met. What if the Basic Needs are not met, ah that is when your sub-personality is formed. Are you still with me? Hope so.... as this is very significant. I spent a vast amount of time, trying to figure the best way to give you an example of the sub-personalities mentioned above. Let me introduce them. Some might be very familiar to you. I know some were to me.
You came upon these posts on Forgiveness some weeks ago right? See if any of these characters showed up in your conversation with self...........
Inner Victim - "Even if I did forgive, those bosses of mine, all take their turns in tormenting me over and over again? So what's the point?" This personality began early, perhaps in school, where you were bullied, etc..and this cast member is looking for empowerment.
Inner Critic - "Bah, who am I kidding? Only saints are able to forgive and I'll never be perfect enough to forgive?" This character was formed when as a child, you did not get approval and since it was formed at a time when you were getting criticized usually by an adult, it does not know how to approve but only criticizes your actions and thoughts excellently.
Confused and Helpless " Uggh..... all these steps are confusing, how many are they? How long is this going to take.... I better not start....wish someone could help me. Feel so helpless"
This was formed when you needed clarity and found none. Don't be fooled by this actor asking for help, because it usually turns away, when help is under its nose.
Saboteur - "just don't know about this Forgiveness thing. It could hurt me, seems risky.. Just safer to read about it and the comments. Perhaps that group she mentioned might give some feedback if it is really safe to do. Think it's much safer to observe from a distance."
This one was formed when you needed to feel safe and secure; as security was missing, again earlier in your life.
These are all negative sub-personalities, yet they are the dominant ones in the majority of the population. As you do the Forgiveness Process, you will be training other positive sub-personalities that are lying dormant at present and giving these a positive lift up. These would support, encourage and empower you throughout the rest of your life.

Facts on Forgiveness Part 4 of 4
My foray into Energy Medicine and EFT introduced me to new avenues in healing and personal development and forgiveness permeated these modalities in a quiet way but its impact on Healing was certainly felt. In Donna Eden's Energy Medicine, there is a procedure to send 'Forgiveness through your Body; another is 'Expelling the venom'. In EFT, each day or each week, you could do what Gary Craig called the Palace of Possibilities.
So when I noticed Guy Pettitt's work on the Forgiveness Process, I had to try it out by myself although he recommends to do it with a coach or have a small group doing the process together. Some of the Steps are very much like Craig's Palace of Possiblity! Let me say it was challenging doing it on my own, which is why the small groups have become popular in New Zealand and other countries.
First, I had to get a standard size lined book! Hmmm! What are you waiting for? We can't begin, till you get the writing material and a pen. I'll wait!
Let's begin with Self -Forgiveness first! Why? Any ideas? Before we begin, let me Emphasize - all these Steps have to be done comfortably, compassionately, joyfully and completely.
In response to a question from Nathan, it is not difficult and there are ways to have bio-feedback to know if it worked. For those interested to work on these Steps in a small online group, please let me know. Actually, it would be good to know who are following these Steps through these posts. Anyone? The Comments section will be where I answer questions and elaborate.
This will not work, if you skip some Steps. The best way - do the Steps in Sequence and take all the time you need to finish each one. My plan is to do one Step each week and give you the opportunity to prepare for the next week. When you go on a journey, you have a choice to make it fun or boring, right? So before we begin, let's Will to make it fun, agreed?
The first Step

Now read that aloud. In all the following steps, we will be using both the right side and left side of our brain.
Prep for the Second Step
Think of all your Values (cherish or prize are other words) including what you've inherited. Have some of your values changed? Write done each value (leaving plenty of space between each) and underline those you feel are your core values that have not and will not change. As you write each Value and read it, notice any sensations in any part of your body, example - heart beats faster, specific muscles tighten or relax, etc. Write all the values you've held.

This will be a private and confidential group. Remember as you're doing this, this process is similar to taking the automobile in for an oil change. So when I noticed Guy Pettitt's work on the Forgiveness Process, I had to try it out by myself although he recommends to do it with a coach or have a small group doing the process together. Some of the Steps are very much like Craig's Palace of Possiblity! Let me say it was challenging doing it on my own, which is why the small groups have become popular in New Zealand and other countries.
First, I had to get a standard size lined book! Hmmm! What are you waiting for? We can't begin, till you get the writing material and a pen. I'll wait!
Let's begin with Self -Forgiveness first! Why? Any ideas? Before we begin, let me Emphasize - all these Steps have to be done comfortably, compassionately, joyfully and completely.In response to a question from Nathan, it is not difficult and there are ways to have bio-feedback to know if it worked. For those interested to work on these Steps in a small online group, please let me know. Actually, it would be good to know who are following these Steps through these posts. Anyone? The Comments section will be where I answer questions and elaborate.
This will not work, if you skip some Steps. The best way - do the Steps in Sequence and take all the time you need to finish each one. My plan is to do one Step each week and give you the opportunity to prepare for the next week. When you go on a journey, you have a choice to make it fun or boring, right? Facts on Forgiveness Part 3 of 4
I am delighted that a couple of my readers have requested the Steps of the Forgiveness Process. So next week, Part 4 will start on some of the Steps.
Now to answer a question of another reader, who shared an excerpt of a book she read on Forgiveness where the author stated that you don't have to know how to forgive to forgive. Maybe so. It begs the question, why then are so many people telling me that they thought they've forgiven but months or years later, there remained residues of resentment, irritation or hurt at the person they had 'forgiven'?
Dr. G. Pettitt has the answer - the forgiveness was not complete as they did not follow certain steps that would make it so. Are you shaking your head dubiously??

If you have a leaking faucet and you put strong tape on it, for a short while the faucet will stop leaking but then, the amount of water collected will cause a pressure to bust the tape and the waters would gush out causing a mini-flood. So that is how it is when the Steps of the Forgiveness Process is not followed.
Many times, when we think we've forgiven, we have just repressed the memory. While treating some physical ailment in Energy Medicine and EFT, I noticed how the lack of forgiveness was a prominent culprit. When a client during the sessions, acknowledge the forgiveness aspect, that physical ailment heals. You must have heard about the connection of gastric ulcers and anger. When we use emotional freedom technique taught by Gary Craig, we always acknowledge the negative feeling but we do not stop there. Let me give you an example.
A client with severe pain came in, barely able to walk, doubled up in pain.. After a very brief history and discovering that her predominant emotions were shame and anger, I started initially with siphoning the pain, then tapping her meridian points with her saying "Even though I am angry with my ??? for humiliating me in front of my friends, I profoundly accept, respect and love & (forgive) myself anyway."
You might ask why she was saying "forgive myself' Great question - Any feed backs. Before you can truly forgive others, you have to learn to forgive yourself, using a similar process.
The end result for this particular client - She walked out of the therapy which lasted for about an hour with zero pain. She saw me as a last resort as she had tried everything else, from tests, other therapies to medications.
